Subway “Op dem Schass”: The CFL finally wants to build the subway between Schlewenhof and Merl (below the trainline Luxembourg-Pétange) after the level crossing has been closed for over 10 years. However, the City of Luxembourg does not want traffic to return to Rue des Celtes and insists that the subway is closed to motorised traffic with a bollard. As local council, we have therefore unanimously spoken out against the construction of this subway. Either without a bollard or not at all.
Point Post: In the future, Leudelange citizens will have to collect their registered mail at the Point Post in City Concorde and no longer at Cloche d’Or. Unfortunately, it is not possible for people to choose individually (free of charge) to which Point Post they would like to have their registered mail delivered.
The convention on PAP Eelchesgewan 2 has been voted with 4 votes in favour and 4 votes against with a double vote by alderman Jean-Paul Sunnen. We are still of the opinion that the commune does not come off well in this and therefore voted against this convention.
At our request, the study by Luxplan on the realisation of flood protection measures was presented to the local council. A public presentation will also be organised. Unfortunately, it is not yet clear which measures can be implemented in practice.
The pavement in Rue de Luxembourg will be renewed in April.
